2006-1-19 · You're talking about 2 different things. Grease is made up of 3 main elements: the soap base, the oil, and additives. Lithium refers to a type of soap base, moly and/or graphite are additives. As for the best, I'd recommend a lithium complex (most common) or calcium complex soap base.

2016-5-18 · I have grown fond of moly with aluminum base grease as opposed to lithium base. I use it in everything from my JD zero turn mower up thru my commercial semi truck. Since I move from lithium base to aluminum base with moly, I have gotten significantly longer life out of u-joints, king pin bushings, brake cam bushings, etc on my semi truck.
